BACKGROUND

Vehicle Overview

The Plymouth Barracuda is a compact E-body muscle car with a shorter wheelbase than its Challenger counterpart and a more aggressive, planted feel. This car keeps the classic Barracuda shape but has been built for real driving, with a 440 V8, manual transmission, roll cage, and the supporting upgrades needed to make it capable on track.

This Barracuda is fitted with a roll cage as well as all the other mods needed to be competitive and fun on the track.

What Makes The Car

A 440 powerplant gives the car strong midrange torque and plenty of power without losing the character of the original platform. Wilwood brakes are fitted at all four corners, supported by a matching master cylinder for more consistent stopping power.

The suspension has been sorted with matched dampers and springs, fresh bushings, and proper alignment. The result is a car that turns in confidently without feeling overbuilt or uncomfortable.

DRIVING

How The Car Preforms

The Barracuda is set up around reliability, balance, and usable power. Upgraded cooling helps keep temperatures controlled in traffic and during spirited driving, while the manual gearbox and big-block torque give the car a direct, mechanical feel.

It still drives like a classic muscle car, but with the braking, chassis, and safety upgrades needed to make it more composed and enjoyable at speed.
